You do not need to be online when making payments. An internet connection is only needed to activate the application and to use the app’s features.

Frequently asked questions
RaiPay enables you to make simple and secure contactless payments, but on top of that, it gives full overview of cards, all card transactions (not only the ones done through the wallet) and enables you to manage card & security settings. Depending on the market where you are using Raiffeisen services, there are advanced features such as person to person payments, disposable cards and many more (see countries).
Depending on the transaction amount, RaiPay offers different security standards:
For lower amounts (below the market specific threshold, usually around 20 EUR), just light up your telephone before making the payment and place it on top of the terminal. For payments exceeding this threshold you need to unlock the phone, but you do not have to open the application to pay.
For payments exceeding higher threshold (market specific but usually around 100 EUR), you will be asked to enter your app’s password.
For even higher security standards, you can set up Advanced password security in the application settings which would require mandatory PIN input even for lower amounts.
If your telephone offers fingerprint (or face ID) authentication to unlock it, it can be used for payments as well.
Paying with RaiPay on your phone is safer than using a physical card.
Your purchase history, as well as your personal information is staying within bank’s ecosystem and will not be shared with anybody outside the banks’ ecosystem – no exceptions.
RaiPay is available for debit and credit cards issued by Raiffeisen Bank. Depending on the market there is an option of adding loyalty cards and vouchers (see country sub-pages). Adding the cards issued by other banks in RaiPay is currently not supported.
